All pieces are hand-brushed with a matte glaze and are individually hand-crafted giving each its own lovely uniqueness. Due to the handmade nature of this item and the alchemy of the glazing process, variations in the glazes from the photos and from batch to batch should be expected and appreciated.
Our products are shaped by hand, inspired by organic and natural forms, without using a lathe. Also, because we apply a re-active glazing technique, no product is alike. We take great care to ensure that all the materials we use are nature-friendly and that our damaged materials are returned to Mother Nature as a fish nest in our seas.
All items in Amados are designed, handcrafted, finished, and packaged by our ceramic artists in our studio. You can be sure every piece is made with equal parts of love and care.
All our ceramics are made with food grade materials, which means it is safe to eat or drink from them. All dishes are glaze fired in 1240 C degree.
All pieces are dishwasher friendly however in the long term it might cause tarnishing of the glaze so if you want to prolong their life, we recommend you give them a hand wash.
Each piece goes through a quality check however having in mind that it is all handmade, small imperfections like glaze drips, scratches and marks on the bottom of the dish are not treated as a defect.
*All items are absolutely safe for food and dishwasher friendly(wash with a temperature up to 40°C/104 °F).
